hi,
i want to interface minimum 8MB or more SDRAM or SRAM and S1D13742 EPSON LCD controller to F28M35H52C1 using EPI, please help me to select EPI mode for this interface.
Thanks

Saravanakumar,
We have a board coming out soon that does almost this exact thing! On our board we use the HB8 mode and use a CPLD to map part of the address space to the LCD.
The board is similar to the DK-LM3S9B96 with the Flash/SRAM add on board found here:
http://www.ti.com/tool/dk-lm3s9b96-fs8
I've attached a schematic for the add on board to give you an idea of how to hook everything up.

Trey,
Thanks for your replay,
In my case my SRAM(R1LV0808ASB-5SI#B0) have 8 bit data and 20 bit address line and my LCD driver S1D13742 have only data lines no address line, its is possible to connect this two devices in HB8 XFIFO mode? or which is the suitable mode to connect this two devices
Thanks,
Saravanakumar
Saravanakumar,
I would connect up the SRAM directly to the EPI using HB8, and then use a logic device like a CPLD to decode a portion of the address space to be used for the LCD controller...just like in the schematic.
Trey
Trey,
as per the reference schematic provided by you, i am using HB8 mode to connect this two devices, in HB8 mode i dont have to connect EPI0S20 to EPI0s25 for any of EPI devices, is it possible to use the alternate function of this pins particularly SPI function.
My SRAM have 20(A0 to A19) bits address 2 chip select, and my LCD controller have only 8 multiplexed bit address and data line
Thanks,
S.Saravanakumar
