Hi all,

Can anyone help me to get the jumper details of High Voltage Bridgeless PFC Kit, because in the BLPFC_userguide doc no where they mentioned jumper description.

Kindly make me clear the following jumper details,

[main]j3,j4,j5,j6,j7

[m5] j4,j5(on board usb disable),j1,j3(boot config)

Umesh,

If you follow the BLPFC QSG, the board should run with the default jumper settings.

Here is the list of installed jumpers and switches on BLPFC EVM

Jumper/Switch No.	Jumper/Switch Connection	Comments
J3, J4, J5 & J8	Pin 1-2
J7	Pin 2-3
SW1	Switch position away from the side labeled *Ext*.

J6 is open. "On Board USB" is not used and the associated jumpers can be ignored.

For the default setting it is working for GUI with emulator available in the control card, but I am planning to work with Onboard emulator which is available in the Base Board.. for that purpose I need to know about jumper settings for on board emulator.

isn't the SW1 switch when position away from the side labeled Ext turns off the 12V DC supply?

The schematic and the PCB is divided into multiple smaller sections and we call these macros. So BLPFC sch has 5 macros, M1, M2, M3,M4, & M5. These are used on the base sch page which shows the macros and their interconnection. On the PCB we use the same approach and so two macros can have jumpers with same reference number.

Could you specify which jumpers has the same name? Also which macro this belongs to?

To connect pin 1-2 you have to use jumpers.

Pls use an external +12V supply and verify which position of SW1 allows connection of the 12V supply to the BLPFC board.

The jumpers J1, J3, J4 and J5 of Module M5 have the same no. with J3, J4, and J5 of module M3.

And position towards 'ext' allows the 12V supply connection to the board.

I want to test this kit with the given GUI in controlSuite. So for that which jumpers should I set ?

Also on the ControlCard 'CC2803x' there are SW2, SW3 and Boot. In which position should those be?

Vikas,

M5 has four jumpers J1,J3,J4,J5 inside the macro. So they are different than other three jumpers (J3, J4, J5) you mentioned. These three are not inside M3 as you mentioned. These are jumpers outside M3 and on the main board.

So, install J3, J4 & J5 outside M3.

We are not using the onboard USB block M5. So disconnect J6 and use the USB from the control card connected at H1.

Your question on +12V supply connection (internal or external) is clearly explained on the QSG.
