Hello,

we want to rewrite the MPPT programs (incc, p&o) into the constant voltage method.

For this method we need the variable of the open circuit voltage. Does this variable exist in the program of the Solar Kit?

    Philipp,

    The open circuit voltage is the panel voltage when the power electronics is not switching i.e. there is no load on the panel.

    The software reads the panel voltage and populates the variable 'VpvRead', however the software does not particularly save the no load/open circuit value in any variable

    Also note the open circuit voltage will keep on changing with luminance, hence you will need to keep on switching off the power stages ensuring there is no load on the panel and grabbing this value into an appropriate variable. Hence the change for the open circuit method will need more changes than just changing the MPPT module the state machine will need to be modified to constantly interrupt the operation of the converter. If it is battery charging application this is fine however with grid tied inverter this method may not be advantageous.

    Any specific reason why you do not want the incc or pno method?
