Timer interrupt problem

Hi,

I try to configure a timer interrupt to run in maximum speed. But i am fail to reach more than 980 KHz. I dont know why that timer was not crossing more than 1 MHz. 

I am using F28M36x device. To configure the timer i am using F28M36x_CpuTimers.c API's. What is the maximum output frequency of a TIMER. Please Give some configuration to run the Timer output frequency in MHz.

Note: My Clock frequency is 50MHz.
