Chopper Mode ePWM

Hi,

I need to generate PWMs which are not inverted. I mean presently when chopper mode is OFF I am getting inverted( out of phase PWM) on B channel. I need to get PWMs only on one channel at a time and second channel should be idle and not inverted.

Can enabling the chopper mode we will get PWMs only on single channel and keeping the other associated channel idle? Can I get the chopper mode reference settings?

Regards,

Chaitanya

  • Hi Chaitanya,

I am not sure if I understand exactly what you are trying to do but I will try to answer. First of all, when chopper mode is enabled, it is enabled for both PWMxA and PWMxB outputs i.e. it cannot be enabled for one channel alone. Second, it is possible to independently generate xA and xB output waveforms using the action qualifier module i.e. it is not necessary that xA and xB outputs be complementary to each other. Please refer to the PWM user guide (for the device you are using) to find out more about PWM waveform generation using the action qualifier module.

    I hope this helps.
