design ahout ac 220v input ,about 2500w with 400v dc output.

dear:

I want  to design single phase pfc ,about 2500w with 400v dc output.who have the reference design or documentation?

  • Hello Ge,

There are literally hundreds of reference design available that can be modifies to meet your requirements.  A search of the forum as well as a basic search on the internet for TI inverter design will bring up some good results.

Here is an app note I have used as a reference for it provided PFC without a dedicated IC and the source code is provided. Online UPS Design SPRA589A.

There are reference designs available in the PFC controller product line if you want to go with a dedicated PFC controller.  An example would be can be found here:

    http://www.ti.com/product/ucc28019#referencedesigns.

You can visit the Power Factor Product page to select from the available controllers.  Each device generally has a reference design that you can use.

    Thanks,

  • dear:
could you tell me the max output power in Theoretically while   ac input is 220v  and pfc dc is 400v?

thanks, i want to design it .

  • One trillion gazillion watts or 1 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000W should be the theoretical maximum, give or take a billion or so plus a few million for the error margin.

I would suggest though you start with 10W and then work your way up to that maximum.  There will be less of an explosion if you make a mistake, considering it is your first inverter design.

    Thanks,

  • We have 3 different single phase PFC eval kits available. The power output is 350 to ~700W but the fundamentals are all there to scale to whatever size you want to build your output power stage to. (The physical power stage, switches, inductors, etc.)

Bridgeless (no rectifier diode) PFC - http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdshvblpfckit

    2 Phase Interleaved -  http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdsilpfckit

original interleaved kit (we updated this to the above, but it is still a valid starting point.)  -  http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdshvpfckit

All of these kits feature 90 to 220VAC (Self adjusting) input voltage and 400VDC output.

Per Greenja - we developed these eval boards to be able to operate at lower wattage levels (safe!) for folks to be able to get an understanding of how the power control works.
