Hi,

I'm using a TMS320F28335 and its ADC module and I was just wondering what is the maximum safe current that can go through the DSP. I already know that 3.3V is the max voltage, but I'm unsure about the current.

Can anybody help me?

Correct, safe voltage should not exceed 3,3V. Current on ADC input is quite small. It is strongly recommended to use TVS such as NUP4201 to protect analog inputs from overvoltage.

Hi Luis,

You can always neglect the current parameter. The most important parameter is voltage which should not exceed 3.3V, btw TMS320F28335 itself has a protection circuitry and can withhold voltages upto 3.8V.

See Hardware Design Guidelines for .....SPRAAS1B, recommened analog input voltage to ADC in is 0-3V.
