HV_SOLAR_DC_AC evm with xds560v2 CCS connect error.

Expert 1060 points

Hi experts.

I'm trying to connect HV_SOLAR_DC_AC (TMDSHV1PHINVKIT) EVM with SD XDS560v2 and C2803xHWdevPkg(not ISO).

When "Test Connection" on CCSv5 it shows error as below

Error connecting to the target:
Error 0x80000240/-233
Fatal Error during: Initialization, OCS,
This error was generated by TI's USCIF driver.

SC_ERR_PATH_BROKEN <-233>
The JTAG IR and DR scan-paths cannot circulate bits, they may be broken.
An attempt to scan the JTAG scan-path has failed.
The target's JTAG scan-path appears to be broken
with a stuck-at-ones or stuck-at-zero fault.

Jumper placed on JP6 and manual don't refer to anything with external emulator. I couldn't find any reason why it does not work.

The combination of Experimenter kits with XDS560v2 and C28035 control card works fine.

Please give some check point.

Best regards.

Jay.

  • I've found some clue.

    iso72xx couldn't pass signal properly.

    I will replace it.

  • Jay,

I would recommend trying to replace the iso72xxC with the iso72xxM (higher speed) version.  While I haven't worked on this board specifically, replacing the ISO chips on other TI EVM boards allows higher speed/quality emulators to communicate properly with the controlCARD's C2000 MCU.

The error that you report is not the one that we ran into as we were experimenting, and am curious if this will fix the issue on your SOLAR_DC_AC EVM.

    Thank you,
    Brett

    Thank you for concern.

I've tested the iso72xx.. and it works fine.

I guess the board get some damage.

    Best regards.

    Jay.
