HI All,

I am very new in using micro-controller. I will use (F28M35H52C1) micro-controller.

I have some questions about the operation:

1. can I do data encoding/decoding and different modulation techniques like as optical drives do?

2. Can I do multiple control operation (two motor drives, input analog signal processing, output digital data using encoding/decoding techniques) with this single devices?

Please advice me.

Now I have TEXAS INSTRUMENTS - TMDXDOCKH52C1 - F28M35H52C1, CONCERTO, DEV KIT. The manual come with the device is not in details how to start. Its have several USB port and one network port. I don't know which port is corresponding to what?

How I can insert programming into micro-controller? How I see the output response? That means I need to know IO port separately. Would you please help me to understand.

Hello Azim!

1 Is it your device 4848.6318.F28M35xx_InfoSheet_06_13_12.pdf?

2 For deep study F28M35 refer to 8831.TI_F28M35x_manual.pdf.

3 Download controlSUITE from ti.com and install one at your PC.

4 Install Code Composer Studio (CCS better version 5.xx) at your PC.

5 In accordance with the user guide (from my paragraph 1), connect your DEV KIT via USB-port to PC and install XDS100 driver on PC.

6 Import varios example projects for F28M35 from controlSUITE in CCS http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/C2000_Getting_Started_with_Code_Composer_Studio_v5.

This is all at now...

Thanks a lot.

I was searching ti's website to download XDS100 Emulator. But it is shows that I have to buy it separately. As I have already buy the MCU, would you please can provide me XDS100 Emulator with free of cost?

Also please let me know if there any alternative of XDS100 Emulator. Can I do it with Matlab Simulink?

Hello Azim!

Usually emulators are included in the distributive of CCS. There is XDS100-drivers for you 3124.XDS100 Drivers.rar.

Hello Igor,

According to your suggestion, I was trying to start CCS program. I have copied one program from the example program. Than paste into the new CCS program window. Than press the debug. After that it shows the error:

Here are the error messages:

IcePick_C_0: Error initializing emulator: (Error -2083 @ 0x0) Unable to communicate with the emulator. Confirm emulator configuration and connections, reset the emulator, and retry the operation. (Emulation package 5.1.232.0)

#1965 Can not open source file DSP28x_Project.h.

I was using code example program of adc_soc_c28.c.

I don't understand what I can do now. Please advice me. Thanks.
