TMS320x2803x Piccolo Boot ROM

TMS320x2803x Piccolo Boot ROM (Document number SPRUGO0A) has instructions to design boot loader for 2803x

devices.

To reduce development time at our end, I am looking for PC based application (software) which can download hex file to micro.

Does TI offer any utility or software which can be used to download code to 28030 devices using SCI boot loader?

There's no such utility...though you can create one :)

Brett,

I am trying to evaluate software, before we can buy it. I am trying to generate hex file using hex2000.exe, with following command.

C:\ti\...bin>hex2000 test.out -map=test.map -memwidth=16 -o=test.hex

This command generate hex file, but C2Prog software does not recognize file. Can you please check, if I am using correct options for hex2000.exe.

Jigar,

I would compare the command that is given in the C2Prog's 'Manual.pdf' with the command that you are giving.

This manual should be installed next to the programming utility in your Windows StartMenu item.
