We have recently bought a TMDSSOLARPEXPKIT kit with F28035 control card. We want to test our inverter control algorithms.

Can anyone tell me the values of L and C of LC filter used in this kit and also the switching frequency of the inverter?

The values used on the board are 100uHx2 and the capacitance is 0.2uf, the switching frequency of the inverter is 20Khz,

I would like to inform you depending on what you are trying to do these values may not be perfect for your application. Typically the L is chosen such that L=Vdc/(8*Fsw*Ipeak*delta_I), which for the solar explorer case will be L=30/(8*20*1000*1.414*1.5*0.20)= 440uH, which is much more that what we have on the board.

We actually want to test the controller we designed for inverter in this kit. We want to use only the inverter of this kit neglecting other parts.

Can we use only the inverter of this kit with existing code from control suite?

The input and output terminals of the inverter are available for the user to connect in the fashion he wishes,

You will have to disable the DC bus controller if you are using the software when you are just testing the inverter, and incremental build 1 should let you play with just the inverter control

If we want to use F28069 control card in the solar explorer kit, can we use the same code as for F28035 or not?

Yes you can use F28069 control card,

Obviously there will be porting effort and if you want to use floating point then you may have to use the F28m35x example for the control loop design
