C2000 Launchpad - USB to UART bridge

Hello Experts,

Could i know whether the USB to UART bridge is completely transparent to the on-board f28027 device ? or else any back doors to take control ?

On the C2000 Piccolo LaunchPAD, the USB-to-UART bridge of the xds100v2 is completely independent of the F28027 device. The only real thing that the F28027 device could do to the bridge is provide a reset/hold the bridge in reset. And to do this you'd need to solder on some wires.
