F28027 Piccolo Launchpad Linker Command File

Hi,

I am using a F28027 Piccolo Launchpad for a motor control project with CCSv4. Just have a small question: in the selection of linker command file when buiding up a new project, which file should be chosen? I am not sure if I should choose F28027.cmd or 28027_RAM_lnk.cmd. What is the difference?

Hi Jingzhe!

Using F28027.CMD assumes loading firmware into flash and 28027_RAM_lnk.cmd into RAM. Loading into RAM. Loading into RAM is useful when intense debugging your code because the number of erasing and overwriting flash memory is limited.
