Driver

Hi,

I try to make a single phase motor control but  i don't know what kind of driver to use, any ideas?

Gastón

  • I am not sure what you mean by "driver" .... are you referring to MOSFET/IGBT drivers? software? application? Please clarify. Also, what type of single phase motor are you referring to?

  • Hi,

    i mean MOSFET/IGBT drivers

    Regards

  • Thanks for the clarification - there are many options as far as driver selection goes - the selection will depend on inverter topology (H-bridge, single switch etc.), IGBT/MOSFET current rating, inverter voltage rating, switching frequency, isolation requirement, emergency shut-off requirement etc. One will need to consider a number of items in order to select an  appropriate driver for the application. You can check out TI site (depends on voltage ratings), International Rectifier site for a number of options.
