Error : Program file doesnot exist

Hi,

I just bought the Launchxl-F28027 Evaluation Kit, and tried to load the cpu timer example with CCS4. I followed all the steps as found in : DSP2802x_HeaderFiles_Quickstart_Readme.pdf

However the following error occured:

Exception occurred during launch

Reason:

Program file doesnot exist

After that I erased at the target menu--> debug the non-project debug session and the debug session and retried without any succes. I attach the error window.

Hi!

Are you sure OUT-file is presented into DEBUG-folder. Did you compile this project?

Hi dionisis,

Did you build and debug? It occurs this error when you are running project without buiild.

Also Target icon is not activated in your picture. So it didn't connect your device yet.

For running project, you need debug session and connect device. Follow this.

1. Build the imported project

2. Debugger configuration.

2. Debug the imported projected

The problem appears when I try to debug the project , The CPUTimer
example only requires that the hardware be setup for “Boot to SARAM” mode. So I tried to change the EMU_BMODE (0x0D01 memory) to 0x000A x through the memory window, after the target got connected (target-->Launch Ti Debugger).I dont know about the out-file as it does not generates one.

Hello Dionisis!

Before run debugger you need to try to build the project. If project is not built (is not compiled) then OUT-file doesn't appear. But in general at first you need to do what mentioned by Ronie. Also you can refer to http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/C2000_Getting_Started_with_Code_Composer_Studio_v5.

Changing EMU_BMODE and generating out file are independent stuff.

>> If you don't chagne any value in the EMU_BMODE, its value could be 0x0003.(GET_BOOT) It's fine to run this proejct.

You can check your out file in that location. If that project builds successfully, it should be there. Otherwise, you can start this project step by step.

Delete that project (don't click delete project contents on disk)

1. Imported that project

2. Build and target configuration.

3. Debug.
