Using Blackhawk XDS510 USB emulator for the first time

Is there anything special I need to do to start using the XDS510?  I read the driver for the emulator will be part of the CCS installation package.  I just received my final hardware and I have it configured to Boot to Flash for the Boot-Mode.

I am waiting for my upgrade of CCS from the free version to a paid version to enable the use of the XDS510. I am just doing preliminary research so I will be ready to go when I get the software upgrade.

Thanks

Elmer

  • You don't have to do anything special as far as I know.  Just configure the target configuration for the emulator.  As you said, the Blackhawk drivers come with CCS.  You just need the regular version of CCS (not the XDS100 limited free version).
