Hi,

I am using FLASH APIs to erase and write to a SECTOR B through my code for TMS320F28062. Initially it worked, but now
I am not able to download my code into the controller.It shows the following error:

C28xx: Flash Programmer: Error erasing Flash memory.

C28xx: Flash Programmer: Error encountered when writing to flash memory

C28xx: Trouble Writing Memory Block at 0x3f6d0d on Page 0 of Length 0x22

Cannot write to target

Due to this problem I am left with option to replace the chip.I have already changed 2 controller.

I have even tried to erase the controller through uniflash and even tried Depletion recovery. But it also gives error.

Hi,

I don't think there's any issue with the controller.

1. Try uninstalling CCS and install the latest one.

2. Create new workspace and project with flash cmd file; copy paste your code.

Sometimes flash based cmd files get corrupted. You can start with the 2nd step directly.

This solved similar kind of issue of mine.

Thanks for your reply.

But one of my collegue was using the same .cmd file.I have just integrated his code with mine

The only difference is that i am calling erase function to retry erase if error has occured.

for(i = 0; i< 5; i++)

{

us_ret_val = Flash_erase_sec(sector_index);
  if(us_ret_val != STATUS_SUCCESS )
  {
   Delay(40);
   Flash_dep_rec();
   continue;
  }

}

while my collegue were calling erase and write function only once. If error the function was retured back.

So does the unmodified .cmd file of your collegue work or you receive an error even for that?

Yes it works. Is it something to do with the program that i call erase_Flash api number of time if error occurs .

Yes, I too felt the same thing. That might be causing some kind of conflict.
