C28x Data Logging Emulation feature

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335

Hello,

I'm trying to use the Data Logging Emulation Feature as described in the guide spru430e, chapter 7.8

I'm using the Example 7-1 to guide myself. So far I was able to complete the example successfully. I can actually see the DMA_CNTRL bits 1:0 indicating that the operation was completed, and I can see the data being written to the addresses 0x83A and 0x83B using CCS memory browser.

So, I suppose that as far as the target application is concerned everything is OK.

What the documentation doesn't explain is how I can "download" the data to the host. What do I need to do with CCS/XDS510 to correctly use this functionality. Can I even do it with my current configuration?

The configuration I'm using is:

  • Microcontroller: TMS320F28335
  • Emulator: XDS510 USB plus
  • Code composer studio version 5.2
