what is the difference between EPWM and Usual PWM

Hi,

what is the difference between Enhanced PWM and Ordinary Pulse width modulation in C2000 microcontrollers? and what is the extra feature that it had?

  • This is a huge topic to cover in forum :-) In short ePWM offers greater flexibility compared to first generation EV based PWM modules. Also, ePWM offers high resolution capability. ePWMs are suitable for both traditional motor drive applications as well as digital power applications. I believe TI has presentations showing the differences between first generation and ePWM modules. Another obvious source is to go through ePWM manuals.
