MSP430DLL equivalent for C2000 family

Hello everybody,

I am new with the C2000 DSPs. I have previeous experience with the MSP430 family where I was using the MSP430DLL for connecting and automated debugging through JTAG.

Is there a way of making automated debugging also with the C2000 family?

Thank you for your reply. Effectevly the link you sent is very interesting.

But I would still like to know if there is a way of scripting the debugging besides GEL and DSS(javascript).

I would prefere to have a way for directly connecting as with the MSP430DLL. That DLL lets you make your own program which can halt the MCU, read from memory addresses, set breakpoints, run to breakpoint, etc.

Can you elaborate on why you do not wish to use DSS for your application?

Hello Kris,

The DSS is good if I need to make a step by step debug, but what I would like is to have an application by which I can fully control the interaction with the MCU without the delays introduced by using a server and javascript behind it.

Does this make sense fo you?
