C2000 Pereipheral explorer kit error

I connected c2000 peripheral explorer kit to my Laptop running with ccs 5.3. F28335 is connected in docking station.

When i am trying to debug code from ccs its giving error like this given below:

C28xx: Error: (Error -150 @ 0x0) One of the FTDI driver functions used during configuration returned a invalid status or an error. (Emulation package 5.0.872.0)
C28xx: Unable to determine target status after 20 attempts
C28xx: Failed to remove the debug state from the target before disconnecting. There may still be breakpoint op-codes embedded in program memory. It is recommended that you reset the emulator before you connect and reload your program before you continue debugging.

please help me to sort out this problem.

  • Hi Yash,

Please check whether your target configuration is properly set. Secondly, also check whether your docking station is properly connected to the pc with respective drivers (check the device manager).

    Regards,

    Gautam

  • Hi gautam,

I checked with all settings including target configuration, docking station is properly connected to pc and also checked the device manager also..

Still its giving me error like this:

  • Please check with the health of the controller. Check whether its getting overheated or so.

Also check the voltage levels on the board.

    Regards,

    Gautam

  • Hi Gautam,

I checked a controller and it is getting overheated.

I dumped a code of 1 -Ph PWM generation which is generated by PSIM softeware. so I checked voltages on EPWM pin of C2000 Experimental board its giving 3.3 voltage level.

    What can i do next?

    Regards,

    Yash

  • Hi,

    See now its crystal clear:

    Controller getting overheated means:

Controller is damaged - you'll have to replace it with a brand new one

Also check with the regulator IC for overheating!

    Regards,

    Gautam
