Power consumption measurement on the F28335 control card

Hello,

I write some software modules that can slow down clock on the F28335, put it into all 3 low power modes etc., so I can test power consumption of the F28335. 

I plan to use additional ADC board, which can measure power over the sense resistor, but I'm not sure, where to put this resistor on the control card or docking station. I also want to measure only power consumption of the F28335 microcontroller, not on board emulator.

Do you have any suggestion how to do this? What is the easiest way to test and measure power consumption of the F28335?

    Hi Dragon,

    Measuring power consumption of F28335 alone would be a tedious task. You can do one thing, calculate the boards power consumption such that controller is in the sleep mode/very low power consumption mode (in uA). The you can calculate with the normal operating mode and find out the difference.
