28335 Flash getting locked every time

Hi,

28335 controller was working well on my board till last week. This board has been working from a year without any issue. After rearrangement of my set up (without any changes on the controller board), i found that the controller is unable to use flash. When i load the code, ccs stuck in the erasing (i waited for 5 mins). Then i aborted the operation and when again tried to load, it shows flash is locked. Later i replaced the controller with new controller. The same issue i observed with the new controller in the same board.

Then to verify whether the problem is in the controller or board, i used the removed controller IC in the eZDSP evaluation board, and worked well.

I want to know what could have been the issue occurred in my board which is stopping me to flash? I checked the voltages, 3.28V and 1.88V on the board.

Hi Kartik,

I would like you to check your setup with CCS Uniflash too. In that software you'll be able to see whether flash is locked or not. You'll also be able to unlock it using Uniflash. The above is just a check, according to your condition there seems to be some hardware issue.

Also, I am wondering - are you able to load execute any code in RAM?

Hi Gautam,

Thanks for your quick reply. My system is not allowing to install Uniflash software. I checked that loading in RAM also doesnt work.

If RAM too doesn't work... then please check your board, especially the tracks from JTAG connector to the controller.
