.out file to .bin file conversion

Hi,

I am struggling from past few weeks regarding one issue. Please try to suggest some solution.

We are using TMS 320F2407 MCU in our dsp board for UPS Application. When we complie the source code we get a .out file generated. That's fine. But this is in the development stage. Later in the site locaitons you need to upgrade the software and for that we have one software which has its communication through rs 232 port. Now my question is how to generate .bin file for the corresponding .out file. since we can't provide jtags and cc studio software to the service department and also to make it more user friendly we need the .bin file.

So can you please help me out to generate the required .bin file. Is any other kernel file would be required along with it?

Hi Sunil,

Why not convert .out to .hex ???

You can use this tool named "hex2000" available here:

C:\ti\ccsv5\tools\compiler\c2000_6.2.0\bin

Hi Igor,

Thanks for your resoponse. i ll go through the link, but its for a different series micro controller. i am looking for tms320f2407 and that too i am using ccs 3.3 platform.

so can you suggest any solution accordingly

Thanx for your reply. But my requirement here is .bin file. So why converting to hex then again to bin. ?

Instead is therent any process which converts out to bin directly in ccs 3.3?
