CCS5.4 will not connect, works with CCS4.25

I have reloaded CCS5.4 and retried. Still no luck. It hangs at GEL Expression: OnTargetConnect() . The CM3 connects and loads fine. The MCU is the F28M35H52C1.

Any help, please.

Thanks,

Pat

  • Hi Pat,

After a long time on forum :)

Are you sure that target configuration and the .cmd file are configured properly?

  • Gautam,

    Thanks for your reply.

I am experimenting with the Dual Blinky example code, V200 for the F28M35x. When I first tried to run it using the debug, both LD2 and LD3 started blinking. I then disconnected both modules, cycled power, and only LD3 would blink. I tried restarting using debug, but the LD2 (C28?) still fails to run. I reloaded both code sets and, the next time, LD2 did blink as well. But subsequent restarts / reprogramming failed to restart the LD2.

There is a errata note in the blinky_c28.c file about disabling TRST-n to get the program to run outside of debug, but this change had no effect.

    ANy ideas?

    Thanks,

    Pat

  • If I'm not wrong, the above observation is with CCS v5.4 right? So is it that debugging works but is erroneous?

Anyways, check with this led_blink project:
