InstaSPIN-MOTION and very, very low speeds

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE

Hi,

Looking at the info (and videos) for InstaSPIN-FOC, it seems that at low speeds (under 1 RPM) it  just dont have the need performance. This very low speeds were probably not TI's goal, that is understandable.

Regarding  InstaSPIN-MOTION,  how does it performs under very low speeds ?
We needs to sustain very, very, low celestial tracking speeds, can InstaSPIN-MOTION offer a good performance at, say, 15 arcs/sec axial rotation (on a Direct Drive motor) ?

Best regards,
PA

  • MOTION excels at low speed control WITH an appropriate sensor (resolver or high line count encoder). In fact there are Position projects being released today in MotorWare version 11 which demonstrate amazing ultra low speed, ultra quiet  movements.
