serial (SPI) Flash interface with F28M35H52C1

Hi,

I have a plan to use external serial flash with F28M35H52C1, my idea is CPU boot with internal flash and it will get code from external Flash to run both M3 and C28X core have to run from external flash code,

is there any way to program this flash on board, like burn the code to CPU it will transfer the code to external flash or some thing like this?

Dear Igor,

As per the datasheet In SSI0 boot mode, SSI0 of CPU will be in Master mode,in this case is it possible to write the code to external Flash or SD card through our CPU

Hello!

If you mean Chapter 6.5.14.1.2 of SPRUH22E, personally, I don't see any problems here except what SSI is a master or slave interface for synchronous serial communication with peripheral devices that have either Freescale SPI, MICROWIRE, or Texas Instruments synchronous serial interfaces (p.1524).
