The schematics of ControlCARD's DIM100 conector can not use!

I use Altium Designer. The schematics of ControlCARD's DIM100 conector in TMDXCNCD28343 Hardware Developer's Package can not use.

In control suite it says "Simply copy and paste the schematic into a design and import the PADS or GERBER drawing into a PCB and the DIM100 or DIM168 connector for the controlCARD is designed onto your board." however it is not that easy for me. I try to import pads or schematics to altium.

how can i do?

Hi,

These packages work very well with Cadence Orcad. I guess, Altium if not directly supported, isn't there an option to import orcad files to altium?

Hi Emiliano,

i had the same problems with different design files of the control suite...

I managed it to import the project and the schematics but not the board layout!

Did you manage to import proj+schematics?

now i tried it with your your board, unfortunately with the same result!

1) using the import wizard-->Orcad Designs and Libraries Files--> *.DSN

2)Project, Schematic sheets and *.SchLib imported as expected

3)trying to import the .pcb file failed

It seems that an ORCAD pcb file is not recognized by ALTIUM, there is only an import option for PCAD .pcb files!

So, either the provided design files are not properly greated (what i don't expect) or the version of ORCAD is not supported at Altium...

Hi Harry,

I tried to follow your steps but when I do the first one, altium doesn´t have this option.

I still have the problem and I'm blocked in my design.

is there any TI employed who can help me??

I know that here there are many hardware's developers. If there is someone that has worked with Delfino COntrolCard and has designed the DIM100 Conector's schematic and footprint since the beginning in ALTIUM, I will be thankful with some help.
