Hello ,

I needed some information on CAN in TI piccolo.

1. Are there any development boards/ Cards available for TI piccolo (28069) with the CAN transceivers?

I am currently using the control stick. But it doesn't have the CAN transceiver in the board :(

Hi Hemanth,

I'm sorry to inform you that: none of the boards have CAN transceivers. You'll have to use one of the external ones like: http://www.ti.com/product/sn65hvd230

Hemanth,

Two kits that have CAN transceivers on the controlCARD baseboard and may be useful references are:
DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT/DRV8301-69M-KIT - show an isolated CAN interface
TMDSPREX28335 - non-isolated CAN interface

Hi Hemanth,

As Bret has indicated, you can check this kit (this specially for "Three Phase BLDC & PMSM Motor Kit with DRV8301 and InstaSPIN-enabled Piccolo TMS320F28069M MCU ")

But, I'm not sure just for CAN transceiver you would like to invest the amount. Instead it would be much easier to interface your F28069 controlStick (that you already have) with external CAN transceiver.

Gautam,

Agree, but now he has a reference to work off of (the schematics are in controlSUITE). Once the desired CAN transceiver is chosen, its datasheet will obviously be another good reference.
