Simulink to CCS.

Dear Folks,

I am able to model in Simulink and generate *.out file from Simulink and run it successfully in CCS5.4. But when I try to import the Simulink(2012b) generated code in CCS through import->Existing code as make file project and try to rebuild the generated files . I get several errors. I notice that CCS is not able to recognise most the variables . Could you help me with what exactly is happening and why those errors are caused where as .out file runs successfully according the desired behaviour.

Hi Suresh,

I don't know of a direct way to do what you need, but you can do one of two things:

Bring your MATLAB code into Simulink using the the MATLAB Function block, and then generate a CCS project from the model.
If you have a MATLAB Coder license, generate C code from your MATLAB function, and then manually import that into a CCS project.

In both cases, your MATLAB code should use the language subset suppported for code generation.

HI Gautam,

I am sorry , I think you got my question wrong. I am not using any matlab code . I am generating the c code from Simulink and the model I have modelled , I am able to verify its functionality through dumping .out file through CCS. But when I try to read the source code (C Code) through CCS by importing it into CCS and build it there are several errors . The CCS is not able to recognise most of the variables used the code.

Hey Gautham,

Here is attachment , all the header files were missing . So I have added them externally but all the .c files were generated by Simulink.

Ok the code is not compatible to CCS v5.4. You can remove these errors manually by editing but then it would be a tedious task. Also, please check in the matlab documentation for the compatible ccs version. They might've surely given a video demo on simulink -> ccs interface.
