How to use User-defined interrupt

Hello,

I want to use User-defined interrupt  in Vector Table offered by TI, but I don't know how to define the triggering condition. For example, 'a' is a variable, and when a=0, one User-defined interrupt 'USER1' is triggered. How can  I do? I don't use RTOS on my DSP28335.
