TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT Build level 2 current graph is different with Guide

Hi everyone!

I completed the Build level 2 as the indication of the "sensored FOC of 3-phrase PMSM.pdf", but I found, in the same condition, the current peak value(about 0.6 pu) in my graph is much more than that(about 0.12 pu) in the guide document.

Is that because of motor? If you know please tell me why? Thanks very much!

are you using the HVPMSMMTR from ESTUN, or your own motor?

did you tune the current controllers?

Hi,

Yes, the motor is HVPMSMMTR. I bought it from TI with the Kit. Sorry I don't know the tuning of the controller. I did't found it in the document "Sensored Field Oriented Control of 3-Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors.pdf".

Are you sure you are using the correct document?

If you have the Yellow PCB you should be using

C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\HVMotorCtrl+PfcKit_v2.1\HVPM_Sensored\~Docs\Sensored FOC of PMSM.pdf

Regardless, this document also shows a magnitude of 0.12

Have you moved on to 2b or build 3?

Hi ChrisClearman,

I think I am using the correct document. I use the yellow PCB and the project named HVMotorCtrl+PfcKit_v2.1\HVPM_Sensored. I have moved on level 3 now, and the result is normal.
