rich,
I assume you are talking about the USB driver for the USB connection on the TMDSCNCD28069MISO controlCARD?
It should auto identify when you plug-in.
Here is the Wiki...as a last resort if you install the latest CCS that should certainly install all necessary drivers for XDS100 as well (and you are going to need to install CCSv5.5 anyways eventually).
chris,
Thanks for responding.
I'm looking for the drivers TI xds100 Channel A & B for the FTDI USB port.
They were supposed to come on a memory stick with the motor controller kit (TMDSCNCD28069MISO) but the stick became corrupt and I lost all the files on it.
So, I just want to download these two drivers only.
Could you please direct me to a path for these drivers ?
Thanks Again.
rich,
Actually, the USB stick that comes with TMDSHVMTRINSPIN doesn't include the USB drivers. Maybe it should...
you can download the contents of the usb stick here:
http://www.ti.com/tool/motorkitscncd69miso
The USB stick for TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT (the same HVkit, but uses F28035 and F28335 controlCARDs) does include the XDS100 drivers. They are also in controlSUITE
C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\~Utilities\XDS100 Drivers v1.0
See if these work.
Hi Chris,
I now have this
C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\~Utilities\XDS100 Drivers v1.0
but I don't see any xds100 drivers that I can install ?
Happy New Year !!
Rich,
Hopefully you figured this out on your own already.
If you install CCS it will include the XDS100 emulation drivers.
I thought though that before a CCS install, when you plugged in to the Hardware it would find the driver automatically, or at least ask you for the location and you could point to the controlSUITE path.
I think we need to get a fresh PC and walk through the "new user" process to make sure we get this cleaned up.
Rich,
Apparently there isn't an .exe to install the drivers for XDS100 (I am going to recommend the emualtor team make one). You have to wait for Windows to ask for the driver, and then you point to the controlSUITE folder linked above.
Rich,
Also, if you install any of the InstaSPIN-FOC / -MOTION / MotorWare GUIs it should automatically install the XDS100 drivers (al the core emulators are installed I believe).
So you should be able to connect...I'm still trying to get them to provide an xds100 install.
Hi Chris,
I just installed CCS and I don't see any xds100 usb drivers installed.
I'll try reinstalling the instaspin motion guis.
Thanks again.
you may not see them installed, but you should be able to plug in to the USB and it should be identified
