Connecting C2000 Launchpad to boost converter

Hi,

I’m new to this and I want to control the output voltage of a boost converter with the C2000 launchpad using the digital power libraries. The program works fine but some questions are still left. The first board I connected to the converter in open loop control has been damaged. PWM1A was connected to the driver input. The driver was power from an external voltage source.  I powered the board over USB did that cause the fault? Do I have to remove Jumper JP1 JP2 and JP3 and power the board from external source? What do I have to do to connect the launchpad correctly the converter?

I hope you understand my problem.

Best regards

  • Hi Rene,

Yes the voltage source should be same for both controller and booster circuitry.  Refer this link for detailed info:
