Questions about "an external GUI is connected LD2"

Hi,

I use F28335 Experimenter Kit. LD3 flashes now from project FlashingLeds-F28335. In the main .c file: FlashingLeds-Main.c, it has the following comments:

//This program blinks LED3 on the controlCARD at a frequency given by the variable
// Gui_LedPrd_ms. If an external GUI is connected LD2 will blink as well.


Questions:
1. What does GUI mean above? It really puzzles me.
2. How can LD2 light? I don't understand it yet. LD2 never lights.

    In F28335 Experimenter Kit, where example projects are placed there you'll be able to find the GUI executable file which you can open and use. Its just an User Interface application with the kit.
