Concerto 1.8V Regulator

Hello,

Since the Concerto has pins tied to the internal 1.8V regulator, I'm wondering if they can be used to supply power to an external chip. I'm specifically looking at a part that draws 17mA max.

I don't see anything in the Concerto documentation that talks about drawing current from the internal regulator.

Hi Joel,

This 1.8V Vreg is only meant for internal subsystem supply. That's exactly the sourcing current specs are not available as it is not meant for interfacing with external peripherals.

As Gautam mentioned, the internal voltage regulators were constructed for use by the internal circuity and not intended to be used to supply power external to the device.

This is a great low cost general purpose LDO to put in your toolbox. 1k price is $0.14. Not too fancy, but easy on the wallet.
