Learning 'C2000 for Power Electronics

Hello everyone,

I am an old guy in Power Electronics who is very familiar with converter control principles ( in analog) but has very little background in DSP. Recently I brush up my C programming skill. Now I want to learn how to use 'C2000 device for PV inverter / Renewable energy applications.

Could you suggest how to jump start on this area?

What kind of the board/ tool and development software do I need?

I suggest you start with one of those motor control system examples to understand how various power elecetronic peripherals of a C2000 controller are utilized in an inverter control (Motor Control and PFC Developer’s Kit ). You can also consider going through TI training materials to get familar with development environment. And, finally, TI offers various application boards including one for renewable evenrgy applications (Renewable Energy Developer's Kit)which can be a good starting point for your development plan. By the way, welcome to the digital implementations of power electronics systems :-)
