Reading ADC values f28335

Was able to read the values in ADCRESULT0, ADCRESULT1...... in Registers of CCS. I saw that the values ranged from 0x0000 to 0xFFF0 from (0-3V). Now my question is  can I record the real-time values that is present in these ADC registers? Or can I make a real-time plot?

Yes you can. You can plot data using the graph utility. Right click on the variable in expression window and click on graph. It has a real-time mode ie continuous refresh mode.

Thank you for the info. I don't have my DSP connected right now, but I opened CCS and am confused about graph. While right clicking the variable, I could not find any options for graph. But I saw something called graph on tools>graph. Would be happy if you could help me understand it.

Further, one quick thing. CCS was not able to continuously display the refreshed value in the ADCs during run-time (in continuous refresh mode). This is what I get when the program is running.

I can only see the values in these ADC variables after I 'Halted' the program. While the program was running CCS would most of the times display " Unable to read" or "could not read memory..."

Vivek, which CCS version are you using? Also, which ADC code a custom one or a sample program?

"Unable to read" means you're missing something in ADC config or you're calling out the wrong variable.

I am using MATLAB generated code and using CCSv4. Any suggestions?

CCS v4 has a graph tool too. Add ADCResult0 register by right clicking on the expressions window and click on Add Global Variables.
