Hi,

I've got a DRV8312-C2-KIT (rev. D) and a F2806x ISO controlCARD (rev. 0.2) with a TMS320F28069MPZT (rev. B) Piccolo MCU - both have been purchased in 2011. Is it possible to run the latest MotorWare InstaSPIN-FOC examples with FAST on this combination, i.e. does this MCU already contain the FAST algorithm in ROM or has it changed significantly in the meantime?

There is no way the controlCARD is from 2011, but yes, 069MISO + Rev of 8312 is what is supported. Use latest MotorWare

Thanks Chris. In the meantime I've found another controlCARD TMDSCNCD28069MISO purchased in late 2012 (Seal Dt 12/24/12) but it also uses a TMS320F28069MPZT (rev. B) Piccolo MCU. I guess this is also a no-go.

So how can I tell whether a 069 MCU already supports FAST in ROM or not?

Any 69M controlCARD will work

We started manufacturing these late '12 for the Feb '13 announcement.

Try with the GUI or MotorWare projects and you'll quickly confirm. There is also a variable in MotorWare Projects that shows the library version, v1p6 for 69M ROM.
