We have been developing software (for motor control among other things) on TMS320F28069 chip for quite some time. We would like to integrate InstaSpin Motion into our project but keep the option of switching between InstaSpin software and ours on the same platform.

1) Is it possible to load software that was developed for TMS320F28069 onto TMS320F28069M? I understand that there is additional software on the TMS320F28069M ROM. Other than that are the two chips the same?

2) Is it possible to load the InstaSpin software onto the ROM of TMS320F28069?

    1. Yes.  You will need to note that some ROM from F28069 is NOT in F28069M, especially IQMath functions. Add the .lib into your project.

    2. No. You must use the 6xM device which is a different revision and includes the motor control libraries in ROM.
