c2000 echo back code discussion

Hi Ashutosh,

Here's the hyperterminal software:

2844.hyperterminal.rar

Just paste the dll file to your system32 folder. Connect your C2000 kit to your computer's serial port and start communicating with hyperterminal.

What error do you get when you open the ht file on hyperterminal?

Do you've the C2000 launchpad or a custom board? How're you connecting this board to PC?

so as i tyr to open this file sci_96.ht. It ask me to change the format of file , i click  NO  now further show  could not read the session file

Yes, even I'm getting the same error. Before it was running... Anyways if still want to run this file then go through:

To avoid all these complications here are the settings:

New Connection - > COM1 or COMx port according to your port settings

Then say Apply. Then...

File -> Properties -> Settings -> ASCII Setup

These are the settings mentioned in that .ht file.

I follow your steps  and when  build and debug  the echo back code  finally  nothing appear on the hyper terminal and one thing happen  when write some thing  on hyper terminal from keyboard it appear some thing,that means hyperterminal is working.

but above all  same prob is maintained is when  I open the sci file still showing same problem i.e. not able the session file..

may be any other hyper terminal is required , this may not be suffient to open this

I saw your link  it was wonderful but my problem is not solved actually one more thing came into my mind

right now i m working on project that need our ADC data from potentiometer  from specified port now i want that adc value should be sampled and came into the hyperterminal whenever i changes the voltage level  from Potentiometer that changes appear on the hyperterminal screen.

  please suggest me dear it would be very grateful.

Hi Ashutosh,

Ok, so you want the ADC data on hyperterminal. For this atleast are you able to communicate from your board to PC via SCI? Also, I guess you'll be needing a level shifter circuit comprising of MAX232.
