Query on Piccolo launch Pad

Dear Sir,

I am using Piccolo launch pad for my project.

I have following doubts on GPIO operation.

Can I use the pins GPIO 35, 36 (of General Purpose Port B) as output pin? because this pin is used for JTAG TDI/TDO function.

TRST bit in Device configuration register (DEVICECNF) field is read only. To make that pin as GPIO this pin should be zero.

That is why I am asking whether I can use this for I/O pins or not.

Dear Sir,

I want to access the GPIOA (Port A) into two 16-bit register instead of 32-bit register.

How to access the same.
