Concerto adc result problem

Hi!

I' m using Concerto TMDSDOCKH52C1 kit. I need to use all analog channels and I hava a problem with 4 of them (adc1: ch8 and 12; adc2: ch 8 and 12).

I am using CCS v5. I have used the example "epwm_adc_soc.c" but I have used channels 8 and 12 (initialy 0 and 2). The result with a constant voltage is this:

How can I solve this?

Hello,

Is that meant that the others ADC channels wok fine and only those 4 give wrong results?

Hi Jaime (Hi Maria),

How can I solve this?

Generally such kind of behavior is observed with ADCs (when some noise is present). What you can do is, as this is a development kit lets not disturb the hardware; instead go for averaging principle. Take average of 8/16/32....etc adc results. When it comes to developing your own board, then be careful during the PCB layout stage.

Sorry, channels adc1 ch 8 and 12 and channels adc2 8 and 12 still go bad.

I have taken average of 8 values and the result is better, but continues to be bad. Any idea?

That's bit odd, that few adcs are delivering correct values and few are not! This should not happen. I hope you've initialized all the ADCs correctly. Try changing the sampling mode.

I have changed the sampling mode of the channels than went bad and the result is very god now.
