PMSM control using Hall sensor (Position and speed control)

Hi dears

I am using PMSM with Hall sensors for feedback. How to sense position and speed of the machine using these hall sensors. I am using whole setup for the first time. I dont know how to generate ePWM for varying speed of this machine using TMS 320F28335. Back EMF and Hall sensor signal as measured are shown in fig. In the fig squire wave is the hall signal corresponding to back EMF of the phase shown in blue color.

Shahid, each Hall phase will have some number of cycles per 360 degrees, equal to the number of magnet poles divided by 2. RPM = Hall_Freq / (#poles / 2) * 60.

how does hall position offset come into play here ? How can that be defined in simple mathematical terms ?
