Hi there,
I am a customer who purchased the SM73201-ARC-EV/NOPB which is also called RD-195 arc detection evaluation board, I have question regarding use of this product:
1. In the description, it is a "programmable" chip. But when I connect it using JTAG (which is verified with no problem with other chip), the emulator connection always fails. How to solve this problem(procedure is as simple as power up the board and connect it though JTAG to CCS)?
2. How can I get access to the "Arc Detection Library" mentioned in the data sheet? Seems it is a software package that we need to request, but I've request it for a week with no response, nor can I found any one in the technical group for this product through TI customer service.

I want to use this board to modify the code for digital signal processing inside, so I chose this product to use its other modules like data acquisition and ADC. But I want to write my own code inside 28033 embedded in this board. Is this feasible?
3. Regarding using the software interface along with the product, it seems it's not quite match what it has been said in the datasheet: at the first beginning, the page shows to be
which I don't know is it supposed to be like that or something else, and when I try to connect RD-195 next step, when I found the com port that I've been using from RS232 cable required, connection always fails like:
And in the data sheet it has been said that
"Entering ‘help’ will provide a list of instructions. Note that with the default Hyper-terminal settings, your
typing will not be visible. To see your typing, chose the File>Properties on the menu; then select the
‘Settings’ tab. Press the ‘ASCII Setup...’ button, then check the box to the left of ‘Echo typed characters
locally’, and finish by pressing ‘OK’ twice."
Where is it exactly, I don't see any response through "Termite" program with those commands and there are also no where to input those commands in this interface program either.
How can I use this product as well as program it?
Much thanks!
