Write to External RAM bypassing the internal RAM of F28335

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1278

Hi experts,

I am using F28335 controller. This controller is interfaced with an external 256KB RAM from another vendor and an external ADC - ADS1278 HTfrom TI.

The external RAM is a backup for internal RAM (in case internal RAM of F28335 get failed). The scenario is , at the startup/nomral F28335 opertion only internal RAM shall be used for data acquired from ADS1278, but as soon as the internal RAM get fail, the external RAM shall take over the place of internal RAM and the data from external ADC - ADS1278 shall be stored directly to external RAM bypassing the internal RAM (considering internal RAM is failed/corrupted), to resume the too opertion without downtime.

Please advice, would the above mentioned scenarion be implemented in the firmware? If not then kindly advise how the failure of internal RAM can be handle to increase tool reliability.

Regards

Asad
