Using a TMS320F28335.
I am trying to use loopback / self test (STM=1) mode to do CAN bus loopback tests.
For reasons I can't work out, this often fails (but not always).
Two things I have noticed:
1. Only fails when there is other traffic on the CAN bus
2. When & only when it fails, the loopback message appears on the external CAN bus.
The TI CAN Reference Guide says "The message is not sent...".
Any idea what is going on? How does the message get to the bus in loopback mode?
I have checked the STM bit, and it is always set during the test.
