How do I properly use the Code Security Password?

I've read the FAQ page, but it doesn't show how to use the module.

I am using CCS5 5.5.0.00077.

My target is a TMS320F2812.

In Debug mode, in On-Chip Flash, I can put in a Code Security Password and I can program the password and run the code. Once I cycle power, the target won't boot. If I "Lock" the target in the On-Chip Flash window, the code runs to ILLEGAL_ISR().

Any suggestions/procedure?

Here is a snippet of my .cmd file that I inherited when I took this job:

CSM_RSVD : origin = 0x3F7F80, length = 0x000076 /* Part of FLASHA. Reserved when CSM is in use. */
BEGIN_FLASH : origin = 0x3F7FF6, length = 0x000002 /* Part of FLASHA. Used for "boot to flash" bootloader mode. */
PASSWORDS : origin = 0x3F7FF8, length = 0x000008 /* Part of FLASHA. CSM password locations. */
BEGIN_H0 : origin = 0x3F8000, length = 0x000002 /* Part of H0. Used for "boot to H0" bootloader mode. */

The CSM is documented in the system control and interrupts guide for the specific device. Also, for FAQs you can refer this link:

Gautam,

Thank you. I read the documentation in the system control and interrupts guide. I do understand more particularly unsecure and secure data spaces. However, I do not know why the processor keeps going to the ILLEGAL_ISR once I lock the chip.

No, I haven't locked the device permanently. I can still reprogram it. I can in the watch window that I can load different passwords into the registers.
