Dear All,
I want to buy XDS100V2 for programming and emulating for all c2000 mcus.
What is the difference between TMDSEMU100V2U-20T and TMDSEMU100V2U-ARM?
Thanks for any help.

Hi Gautam,
Thank you for the reply.
I don't understand.
Is it possible to program and emulate all of c2000 mcus by them?

Ras

Yes Ras, why not. They support all the devices listed here:

Dear Gautam,
I see the answer under the "TI Debug Probe Selection Table" section.
Thank you for the help.

Dear Gautam,
From your first reply, I perceive that TMDSEMU100V2U-ARM support all c2000 and arm mcus whereas TMDSEMU100V2U-20T doesn't support some 10 pins ARM mcus. Do I say true?
2nd question: Different mcus has different connectors?
Regards,
Ras
Ras, I've personally not used the ARM one, as per what I know some ARM mcus have 10pin JTAG compatibility and this ARM XDS100 provides you that feature while rest don't. In C2000 series, there are no pure ARM controllers.
Concerto for instance has both C28x core and ARM core. So selecting XDS100v2 emulator should not be an issue unless you plan to shift to other ARM based TI device families.

I don't understand yet!
I want to buy one programmer for ALL three bellow families if possible.
C2000™ 32-bit Microcontrollers
Tiva™ ARM® Cortex™-M Microcontrollers
Hercules™ Safety ARM® Cortex™ MCUs
Which of xds100v2-ARM or xds100v2-20t does meet my request?

Ras
Hi Ras,
Which of xds100v2-ARM or xds100v2-20t does meet my request?
Its very simple, you can refer this link for the pinouts and required controller signals:
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/JTAG_Connectors
The above link also mentions the family support with respective JTAG connectors.

Gautam
