Is it possible to use the HVPSFB kit as a Lion battery charger?

Is it possible for this kit to perform this charging procedure. How low does the output voltage can be?

This is not recommended as this kit is specially designed for High voltage applications.

Yes, you can use it provided the Li-ion battery voltage is around 12V.

It is current limited constant voltage control, so set the current limit as required, initially it will work on CC and once it is out of CC will go to set voltage.

I guess/suppose that his Li-on battery would be less than 6V; esp. in the range of 3.7V to 4.2V.

The battery would be a three cell Li-on battery, each cell in the range of 3.7 V to 4.2 V. If this is not possible I could use a 12 V battery.

Could you please give some details about the problems of doing this?
